The Gaylord Blue Devil freshman basketball team took the floor at Gaylord Intermediate School Thursday night against the Boyne City Ramblers, and kept their record perfect on the season at 3-0 with a 62-25 victory. The Blue Devils used the press to jump to a quick 20-2 lead at the end of the 1st-quarter, and cruised from there, scoring over 60-points for the 3rd time this season. Boyne City, with 4 freshman playing up at either the Jv or the Varsity level, played hard, but were overmatched on this night. Gaylord will look to stretch it to 4 wins on the season when they take on Ogemaw at home on Tuesday of next week, and will finish off 2011 as they head into Christmas break with a Thursday game against Grayling, at home as well.
